My Goals for 2026

Good morning, my lovely people! Today, we have a very exciting post that I have been looking forward to making! Every year, I make a bingo board filled with goals to attempt to accomplish in the coming year.

<Gets out the washi tape and pens and changes into a baggy hoodie>

I have just finished my bingo board for this year, and I would love to share my goals with you all!

·         3 bucket list dates

This is a fun goal, <giggles>. These are just adventures that I would like to go on with Cade this year. I have quite a big bucket list of dates and things I want to do, but some examples could be: a sunset picnic, walking around the mall for an afternoon, studying a bible passage or chapter together, a concert, annotating a book together, and so many more. There are really endless options. I will keep y’all updated on how those adventures turn out!

·         Glossier Chicago

One of my favorite brands for makeup and skincare is Glossier. They only have a handful of in-person stores, and Chicago is the closest to where I am. <Looks at mom hopefully> I really want to go and feel and touch all the products I would like to purchase. This is hard to explain, but I think this would be so much fun!

·         Three drafts

As a writer and someone pursuing publication, writing drafts is extremely important. I am looking to finish three first drafts this year: Project Venom, Project Carson and Project Heart. All three of these are fantasy books in the YA genre and I can’t wait to dive into these stories.

·         Send 30 queries for Project: Raven

Do any of you remember when I introduced my project I was working on for NaNoWriMo a few years ago? Well that project has been brought very very far since hen and I am currently sending queries and waiting for responses <3 both an exciting and terrifying experience

·         New author platform

I am not sure what this will be yet, but I am looking into spreading my writing and marketing more about both my blog and my novels. I also think this would be an amazing opportunity for any street teams I was on also as it would be a bigger outreach

·         Post a minimum of 3 times a month on blog

I have a smaller goal of growing my blog to at least 150 followers and posting not just more often but good and fun content. Whether that be moving to college, books, or writing we will see but I have been wanting to post more for a while now and I going to really put my full effort into my blog this year

·         Redo closet

A lot of my cloths are old and have holes or just don’t fit right. I want to change that. I want to have a closet were I feel excited to get out of my fuzzy pjs as into something fun and cute and just sets a better vibe for the day

·         Karate tournament

I really want to attend at least one more martial arts competition before heading off to college. Honestly it is more of a farewell to doing the sport seriously, or before my studies take over my life I would like to at least have a shot at getting another metal. I want it to be like a goodbye.

·         Graduate

Haha. This is self-explanatory. But I want and need to graduate high school.

·         Pass first semester of college

Yes! I am going to college if you haven’t read that yet lol but I want to  not only pass the first semester but pass with a good grades <3

·         Read 127 books

I love reading pauses while everyone laughs and rolls eyes yes I know you know I like to read as most of my content is about books hehe but this year I brought my goal down because I want to focus more on my relationships and spend time with family and friends before and while at college because I am going to have those relationships for my whole life.

·         workout consistently

This is also pretty self-explanatory, but I want to some extent work out or move my body. The bible says that our bodies are temples for the Holy Spirit so I want to put effort in to make my temple or body healthy

·         Shopping spree

Do I have money… no. do I care… also no giggles this shopping spree doesn’t have to be big it can be simply getting that one top I want or the cute Jellycat I have my eyes on or it could be getting a book haul or some new skincare <3 just something fun as a reward at some point this year

·         Bible study

And last but not least, I want to spend more time in God’s word this year, and I have been doing a bible study with some people from my church before service on Sunday mornings. They are wonderful and fun people to be around, they make it fun and interesting yes we even discussed the technical difficulties of having little flames over our heads!
