Read Series with Me | Part 3

Hello everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my little corner of the internet where I mostly talk about books and writing <3 Today we have a very fun post.

I have an issue with my TBR, it tends to be overwhelming, and as a result of that I put off reading it only to add more. It is an endless cycle.

I am doing everything in my power to finish it by the end of 2025.

Honestly, I am finding some of my all-time favorite books through these posting series and can’t wait till the next one.

I’m a chronic series starter, not finisher, starter. I always get scared about the ending of series because what if I don’t love it as much as I loved the rest of the series? Today I will be trying to solve that.

In these posts I will be continuing a series, starting a series, and ending a series.

Book 1

Winter’s Maiden by Morgan L. Busse

As you know by know I am a big fan of Enclave Publishers, most all their books have been five stars for me and I have enjoyed every book I read by them. And this book was no different.

In winter’s maiden we follow a girl who lives with an old healer out the outskirts of town, she is struggling to find what she is passionate about and what job she wants to do as she gets older. But as the book goes on, she picks up a sword and becomes a fighter for the clans, helping to lead a war.

This book was full of action and a dash of romance. It also has bears that people ride… do what you will with that information hehe, over all I loved it and can’t wait till the next book comes out! the only thing is that we get different POVs in this book and one of them felt slow to me.

Cross my Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter

I risked the most sacred sisterhood in the history of espionage, for a boy.

And I am back into the world of Ally Carter in my opinion the queen of YA spy fiction, this book was funny action packed. Easy to read and so much fun. Who would have thought there was a school for boys? And that they were going to do an exchange? Really, I don’t have anything negative to say.  I can’t wait to get into the next book!

The Immortal Abyss by Katherine Briggs

Dragons.

She added dragons.

Yes, that is the thought on my mind as soon as they came onto page. Also, the FMC has fire powers and can make weapons out of it?! amazing.  Because this is the second book in a duology, I was expecting it to follow the characters from the first book but we really didn’t, which was very surprising to me. I liked the main character better in this book than the first book. Recommend, love it!
